Wrapping things up — The New Year way.
Time flew by like the pages of a book. I, however, didn’t notice the days I had spent or perhaps I didn’t bother to track about it. Even if I only hazily recall what happened in my life, (if there’s any) those memories will surely be a precious treasure that can’t be replaced nor conquered by anyone. Sure they had downs as I sometimes had anxiety or depression from time to time, but I had a blast within my heart, blessed with my part-time job and support from everyone in reality and mostly in the internet. That year was probably my gateway or the single step towards the stairway to adulthood, and that makes me feel slightly happy.
So what were the noteworthy things happened? Well, we had rained a handful of anime announcements from sequels, originals, and light novel adaptations — An earthquake tragedy somewhere on Eastern Japanese coasts causing the last two episodes of Madoka to be delayed — Few Visual Novels that were translated — SOPA bill that was a news today, a trash tomorrow — and some other issues that should be left forgotten and overlooked.
There are perhaps more than 25 anime shows that I wholeheartedly enjoyed last year, and two translated VNs that I lived out my expectations (Shikoku no Sharnoth and Umineko Episode 8).
And here’s the collage of what 2011 was all about!
- Mesousa’s Top 5 Pick:
1. Yuru Yuri
3. Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
- Honorable Mentions: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Ano Hana, GOSICK, Usagi Drop, Baka to Test, Nurarihyon no Mago, Mawaru Penguindrum
Overall, I’ve really enjoyed watching them for what they’re worth. Needless to say, 2011, the start of a new decade, was unbelievably one of the best years in the anime industry, and other enthusiasts, who stayed strong from their struggle and triumph, should have a blast all throughout.
Let’s not forget the annual FOREVER ALONE with waifu: Christmas Edition. Despite I participated this year, I was utterly disappointed with my half-assed, joke-ridden, and simple work. I knew I had limited time to prepare them, but next time I would deliver more than my love to her, promising myself to try a little harder compared to 2ch peers. But hey, at least I had a decent presentation compared to everyone who just took something from their refrigerator or on their kitchen and took a picture. I’ll shall return, I promise that to my “other self”. Here’s the collage thanks to his hardwork, Christmasfag,
What does the future lie ahead of us? Nobody knows except the so-called “fate” itself, and that makes life more interesting. Hopefully this year will be as notable and entertaining as the former. 2012, my body is ready.
